5 suspects detained over drug smuggling in Ghor

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested five individuals over smuggling drugs and seized more than nine kilograms different types of drugs from their possession in western Ghor province, police said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the police headquarters said these suspects were detained in Allahyar district today.

It said: “Five people were captured while trying to smuggle 9 kilograms of Type F drugs, 20 barrels of acid, 11 bags of salt, 10 bags of soda, and a tanker of diesel fuel”.

The arrested suspects’ cases will be handed over to judicial organs, pending an investigation.
