MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Two girls have died and a man hospitalised due to coal suffocation in the Nijrab district of central Kapisa province, police official said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Abdul Fatah Faiz told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred on Wednesday in the Pichghan valley of the district.
He said: “Inhaling the coal gas led to the death of two girls, aged 17 and 35. A 72-year-old man was hospitalised,”
Without going into details, the police spokesman blamed the incident on the family’s negligence.
