KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has travelled to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, at the head of a high-level delegation.
The Baradar-led team left Kabul for Tashkent today (Saturday) for a two-day visit, the deputy prime minister’s office said in a statement.
The delegation includes Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Transport and Aviation Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, Minister of Commerce Nooruddin Azizi and Minister of Agriculture Maulvi Attaullah Omari.
Da Afghanistan Bank Governor Noor Ahmad Agha, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mufti Abdul Matin Sayed and others are also part of the delegation.
The objective behind the visit is to expand political, economic, trade and transit relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
The Afghan delegation would also try to attract Uzbek investors to various sectors of Afghanistan. The two sides will hold discussions in this regard.
