KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Six people were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in the Daman district of southern Kandahar province, an official said on Saturday.
The accident occurred on the Kandahar–Kabul highway when a Corolla passenger car collided with a trailer truck.
Police spokesman Mullah Asadullah Jamshid told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place on Friday along the Kabul–Kandahar highway in Daman district.
He said six people lost their lives in the crash, while three others sustained injuries.
According to him, the injured were transferred to hospital for treatment and investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
