KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and hosts Maldives are all set to meet in the opening match of the Diamond Jubilee Four-Nation International Tournament today (Monday) at the National Football Stadium in Malé.
The match will kick off at 8:30pm Afghanistan time, the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) said.
The tournament features Afghanistan, Maldives, Pakistan and Bangladesh Under-23 teams and is being held in Malé, the capital of Maldives, from June 1 to 10, 2026.
The competition has been organised to mark the 75th anniversary of football in Maldives and aims to help regional teams prepare for upcoming competitions.
Afghanistan will play their second match against Bangladesh Under-23 on June 4 before facing Pakistan on June 7 in their third fixture.
