KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and India are scheduled to play a three-match T20 International series in September this year, according to a media report on Tuesday.
The Times of India reported that, for the first time, Afghanistan is set to face India in a three-match T20I series scheduled for September 13, 16, and 19.
An official announcement from the respective cricket boards is still awaited.
The report stated that the matches are expected to be played in New Delhi, India.
Neither the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) nor the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has so far commented on the proposed series.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan national team is currently in India and is scheduled to play a one-off Test match against India on June 6.
Following the Test, both sides are also expected to feature in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series from June 13 to 20.
