3 suspects detained in Kabul for drug trafficking

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) says three individuals have been arrested in separate counter-narcotics operations in Kabul on charges of drug trafficking and narcotics sales.

In a statement posted on its X, the ministry said counter-narcotics personnel conducted intelligence-based operations in the 11th security district of Kabul city and in Bagrami district, leading to the arrests.

According to the statement, the operations also resulted in the seizure of 1,382 capsules, a quantity of “tablet K,” more than three kilograms of hashish, and an amount of heroin.

It added that a factory used for producing alcoholic beverages was also destroyed, while 24 litres of alcoholic drinks were confiscated by security forces.

The MoI said the arrested individuals are under investigation and will be referred to judicial and legal institutions after completion of preliminary inquiries.
