Morocco, Brazil, Mexico secure wins in FIFA World Cup matches

KABUL (Pajhwok): Morocco, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Switzerland and Bosnia secured victories in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, according to reports.

On Wednesday night, several fixtures were played, including Switzerland vs Canada, Bosnia vs Qatar, Morocco vs Haiti, Brazil vs Scotland, Mexico vs Czech Republic and South Africa vs South Korea.

Morocco defeated Haiti 4–2. Ashraf Hakimi, Ismael Saibari, Soufiane Rahimi and Jassim Yassin scored for Morocco, while Wilson Isidor netted for Haiti.

Bosnia secured a 3–1 victory over Qatar. Karim Alajbegovic, Sultan Al-Brik and Armin Memic scored for Bosnia, while Hassan Al-Haydos scored Qatar’s only goal.

Switzerland beat Canada 2–1, with goals from Ruben Vargas and Johan Manzambi. Promise David scored Canada’s only goal.

Brazil earned a comfortable 3–0 win over Scotland. Vinicius Junior scored twice, and Matheus Cunha added the third goal.

Mexico defeated the Czech Republic 3–0. Mateo Chavez, Julian Quinones, and Alvaro Fidalgo were on the scoresheet.

In another match, South Africa edged South Korea 1–0, with Tashreeq Matthews scoring the decisive goal.
