KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Nasrat Haqparast lost to American fighter Chris Padilla in a UFC bout in Sacramento, California.
The lightweight fight was held at the Golden 1 Center on Saturday as part of UFC Fight Night: Hernandez vs. Rodrigues.
Padilla secured a technical submission with an arm-triangle choke at 4:59 of the third round, just before the final bell.
The defeat was Haqparast’s second consecutive loss and left his professional record at 18 wins and seven losses.
Padilla improved his professional record to 18 wins, six losses and one draw with the victory.
