KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) says it wants to live in peace and tranquillity with all countries, will not allow Afghan soil to be used against any other country and calls on other nations to respect Afghanistan’s territory and interests.

In a statement marking August 15, the IEA said: “Five years ago today (August 15, 2021), with the help of Almighty Allah and the struggle and sacrifices of the brave Afghan people, Afghanistan was freed from American occupation, and the capital and provinces were captured by the forces of the Islamic Emirate.”

“We congratulate all our people, mujahideen, relatives and families of martyrs, widows and orphans on this great victory and conquest. We ask Almighty Allah to forever protect our homeland from occupation, aggression, war and insecurity and enable our people to enjoy peace and prosperity under the umbrella of the Sharia system,” the statement said.

The IEA called on all Afghans to give thanks for the victory, make greater efforts to fulfil the objectives of jihad and continue serving the people and country under the Sharia system.

It also urged officials to pay greater attention to Allah’s religion, Sharia and public service and to treat the people with sincerity, compassion and brotherhood.

Officials were further asked to “keep the aspirations of the martyrs in mind, make greater efforts to care for widows and orphans and work harder to ensure the security and prosperity of the people.”

The IEA said Afghanistan wants to maintain peaceful relations with all countries and will not allow anyone to use its territory against others. It also called on other countries not to engage in any conspiracies against Afghanistan and to respect its territory, sovereignty and interests.
