KABUL (Pajhwok): Houthi forces and Saudi Arabia have exchanged strikes as fighting over the critical Bab al-Mandeb chokepoint on Yemen’s Red Sea coast continues, Al Jazeera reported.
US President Donald Trump says the Houthis have contacted Washington, asking it not to intervene in the conflict against Yemen’s internationally recognised government.
Iraq has temporarily closed three of its border crossings with Iran after a drone launched from its territory targeted the East-West oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia. Riyadh suspended operations on the pipeline as a “precaution,” holding off on an immediate response.
