KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): Asphalting of a 1.5 kilometres road, a $800,000 (36.4 million afghanis) project, began in northern Kunduz province on Saturday, an official said.
The German-funded project in Khanabad district would be completed in four months, the district chief, Nizamuddin Nasher, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the project would benefit 25,000 families and facilitate the journey for commuters coming from northeastern Badakhshan and northern Takhar provinces to Kabul.
