HERAT CITY (PAN): Unidentified gunmen beheaded two young men in the Par Chaman district of western Farah province on Thursday, police said.
The two were travelling in a car toward the provincial capital, Farah city, when gunmen intercepted their vehicle in Zar Mardan area, Farah deputy police chief, Col. Mohammad Ghaus, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said a police party had been sent to the area to collect the bodies and an investigation had been launched.
The beheading came two days after Afghan and foreign troops targeted a Taliban Rahim, was able to escape.
