GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Seven civilians were killed in two separate roadside bombings in southern Ghazni province on Monday, the Interior Ministry said.
An improvised explosive device struck a civilian car in the Zardalo area of Qarah Bagh district at around 7:30 am, killing four occupants of the vehicle, the Ministry said in a statement.
The second incident took place in Ghazni City half an hour after the first, leaving three people dead including a woman, the statement said.
Provincial Police Chief Col. Zarawar Zahid confirmed both the incidents, saying that two children had been among the four killed in Zardalo.
Zahid blamed the Taliban for planting roadside bombs that killed civilians, though the Taliban has not claimed responsibility so far.
