GHAZNI CITY (PAN (HIA) fighters in southern Ghazni province, officials said on Saturday.
Abdul Samad, an important HIA commander, was killed and his bodyguard injured during the overnight clashes in Pana and Abdul Rahimkhel areas on the outskirts of Andar district centre, the town’s administrative chief said.
Sher Yosufzai told Pajhwok Afghan News that during the three-hour clash, four Taliban fighters were also killed and two others wounded.
Brig. Gen. Zarawar Zahid, the provincial police chief, confirmed the fighting and the death of the HIA commander. Taliban and HIA are yet to comment on the incident.
