TIRINKOT (PAN): A local police commander was killed and his two colleagues injured in a roadside bombing in the central province of Uruzgan on Friday, officials said.
The bomb tore through the police vehicle around 12pm in the Dwang area of Charchino district, police spokesman Farid Aail told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the slain personnel was a check post commander, Manu. Another two policemen injured in the attack were rushed to a hospital.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed responsibility for the blast.
