Would-be bomber shot dead in Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (PAN on Saturday, an official said.

Border police positively identified the bomber and shot him dead at 12.15pm, the governor’s spokesman Javed Faisal told Pajhwok Afghan News. 

Police fired at the militant after he ignored warnings to stop, the official said. As a result of police firing, his suicide vest exploded, killing the suspect and wounding a woman and a girl.
