KABUL): Four civilians, including two children, have been killed in an insurgent attack in central Maidan Wardak province, police said on Friday.
The fatalities happened late on Thursday night when the Taliban attacked the Jaghatu district centre, a statement from the police headquarters said.
Some of the Taliban-fired mortars landed inside the house of a local named Naqibullah, killing four members of his family and wounding a man and a woman.
There was no immediate reaction from the rebel movement.
