CHARIKAR): Four policemen were killed in a roadside bombing in the Hesa-i-Dom district of central Kapisa province on Monday, an official said.
The officers were killed at 6am when they the vehicle they were they were travelling in struck the bomb, police spokesman Col. Humayun Rashidi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the bomb disposal squad personnel were returning from the area where they defused an explosive device. Their vehicle was also destroyed as a result of the blast.
With police investigating the incident, there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the roadside bombing, a weapon of choice for the Taliban.
