Saboteurs held with explosives, arms

KABUL has been arrested with weapons, ammunition and suicide vests in Kabul, a senior police officer said on Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Zahir told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces busted the group along with different kinds of explosives, suicide vests and weapons in recent days.

The police chief said the individuals were currently being investigated and the Loya Jirga Security Commission would present details later on.

Afghan forces were maintaining security for the Loya Jirga without the involvement of foreign troops, he said. People were extending effective cooperation to security forces, he acknowledged.
