LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Five civilians and a militant have been killed in separate incidents of violence in southern Helmand province, an official said on Friday.
Four people, including two women-fired missile hit a civilian home in Nawzad district, the provincial police spokesman said.
Col. Abdul Ahad Chopan told Pajhwok Afghan News the insurgents wanted to hit a police check-post following a clash in Jazi area. But the missile fell inside a house.
Elsewhere in the province, a civilian died in a roadside bombing in the Shawal area of Nad Ali district.
Border police officer Mohammad Maroof Babakarkhel said one fighter had been killed and nine others detained during operations in Malakhan and Sra Qala areas of Khanshin district.
