FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): At least six Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed in a roadside bombing in the Baharak district of northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Monday.
An ANA vehicle, carrying the troops to Warduj district struck the explosives planted by insurgents, deputy police chief, Col. Sayyed Abdul Qadir Sayyad, told Pajhwok Afghan News,
A military offensive is underway to purge Warduj and Kamkan districts of militants. At least 16 rebels have been killed in the operation so far.
