AIBAK (Pajhwok): One person was killed and six others were injured in two traffic accidents in northern Samangan province on Wednesday, an official said.
Traffic Director Col. Abdul Razzaq, told Pajhwok Afghan News the first accident occurred in the Ghaznigak area of Hazrat Sultan district on the Samangan-Balkh highway.
He said the collision happened last night when a Corolla car crashed into a truck, wounding five people including a woman. He blamed the crash on reckless driving.
The second accident took place in the Larghan village on the outskirts of Aibak, the provincial capital, on the Samangan-Balk highway in the morning.
As a car smashed into a motorbike, the motorcyclist was killed and the car driver injured critically. The injured were taken to Samangan Civil Hospital.
