KABUL (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday appointed Asadullah Ghazanfar as his advisor on cultural affairs.
The appointment of Ghazanfar, a prolific writer, was announced in a brief statement from the Presidential Palace. He replaces Zalmai Hewadmal.
In Exercise of the power conferred on him by Article 64 of the Constitution, the president tasked Ghazanfar with utilising the experience and knowledge of intellectuals and experts.
A son of Siddique Pasarlai, Ghazanfar has been a teacher at Kabul University and Radio Liberty editor for education language.
