KHOST CITY/TARINKOT (Pajhwok): Five Afghan security forces men were killed on Wednesday in two separate blasts in southeastern Khost and southern Uruzgan provinces, officials said.
Capt. Abdullah, spokesman of the first Afghan National Army (ANA) Corps in Khost, told Pajhwok Afghan News that a military vehicle came under bomb attack near Khost City, the provincial capital at around 2: 00 pm.
Two ANA soldiers died on the spot and as many wounded in the explosion, he confirmed. But Dr. Hidyatullah Hamidi, director of Khost Civil Hospital, said he received three dead and two wounded personnel.
Earlier, in Uruzgan, a police vehicle hit a landmine near Tarinkot, the provincial capital, which left two policemen dead.
Taliban have not yet commented on the incidents.
