ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Two Pakistani militants were killed in a NATO drone strike in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday night in Shultan valley of Shegal district that borders Pakistan, Kunar police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The drone hit and killed two Pakistani militants while civilians escaped unhurt, he said.
There has been no word from the Taliban about the latest drone strike that comes two days after a key Al Qaeda member, a foreign national, and his two Afghan guards were killed in a similar incident in the province.
