JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three Daesh, or self-style Islamic State (IS), fighters were killed as a result of a drone strike by foreign troops in eastern Nangarhar province, the army said on Wednesday.
The airstrike took place on Tuesday evening in the Bandar area of Achin district, said a statement from the 201st Selab Military Corps of the Afghan National Army.
Meanwhile, a statement from the police headquarters confirmed the death of the three fighters during an ongoing operation in Achin — a Daesh stronghold near the Pakistan border.
