PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Ten militants, including seven foreigners, have been killed during clearing operation in the Kharwar district of central Logar province, an official said on Friday.
Samim Khapalwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News among the dead insurgents were the Taliban Saber, Mullah Sabawon and Mullah Bashir. The operation was conducted Thursday night in Apakhan locality.
The insurgents had arrived from Paktia province and planned terrorist activities in the area. Three women who hailed from Chechnya were also killed in operation, he said.
According to Khapalwak, security force launched clearing operation codename Zarghon in Charkh, Kharwar and Baraki Barak districts.
