KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): At least three people were killed in a drone strike on the outskirts of the capital of southeastern Khost province on Thursday, an official said.
A local official, who wished not to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Lakan area of Khost City in the morning.
The source revealed three people were killed when the drone struck a Corolla car in the area. The victims could not be identified as they bodies were burnt in the attack.
Qadirullah, a resident of the area, said the bodies were charred beyond recognition. The Taliban militants have not yet commented on the incident.
