KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Four civilians were killed and five others wounded in a roadside bombing in the southern province of Kandahar on Tuesday, an official said.
Samim Khpalwak, the governor’s spokesman, said the casualties happened at 7am when a minibus struck an improvised explosive device on the road between Daman and Shah Wali Kot districts.
Four of the nine men aboard the vehicle were killed and five others wounded, he said, adding the casualties were evacuated to hospital. Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
Elsewhere in the troubled south, the Afghan National Army (ANA) defused 24 IEDs and landmines inUruzgan and Zabul provinces
