PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Thirteen Taliban have been killed and five others wounded in security forces clearing operation in central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.
Salim Saleh, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News, security forces conducted air raids and ground offensive in the Dushanbai and Babus villages.
Two vehicles, three motorcycles, two Klashinkoves, a rocket and a machine gun had been recovered by security forces during operation.
Security officials and residents escaped unhurt in the overnight air and ground raids.
Ahmad Zubair, the resident of locality, said foreign forces fighters jets bombarded the Taliban in the area and killed few of them. The Taliban were on their way from the village to another village when the bombardment took place, he added.
