Nangarhar offensive: 49 Daesh rebels dead in airstrikes

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Forty-nine Daesh rebels have been killed during clearing operation codenamed Hamza in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces have conducted the airstrikes as part of the operation in some areas of Achin district on Tuesday night.

He said among the dead rebels were 12 foreigners but there was no information about their identity. Weapons and explosives of the insurgents were destroyed during the air raid.
