JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three members of a pro-government uprising group and two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed as a result of US forces airstrike in the Nazian district of eastern Nangarhar province, local officials said on Thursday.
Qazi Tariq, district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that hundreds of pro-government fighters along with security forces conducted operation against Daesh (Islamic State) rebels which was still underway.
He believed an incident took place in the Morchall locality of the district, but he had no information in this regard.
A credible security official, who did not want to be named, said the American forces mistakenly targeted security forces in the certain area during the offensive.
