ASADABAD (PAN): Seventeen insurgents were killed in an airstrike by the International Security Assistance Force in eastern Kunar province on Wednesday, a senior official said.
The air raid was conducted on a militant hideout the Sabandai area of Dangam district, Governor Fazlullah Wahidi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A Pakistani and an Arab were among the dead, he said, adding the airstrike also killed an Afghan woman and wounded her two children. A team has been sent to the site for investing the incident.
However, the ISAF media office in the eastern zone said it was unaware of the bombardment.
A Taliban, were also killed.
