JALALABAD (PAN): A tribal elder and three of his companions were wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Monday, an official said.
The bomb, which wounded Malak Faizullah along with three associates, took place in the Sra Qala area of Chaparhar district at 9am, district chief, Mashooq, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The wounded people were taken to the Jalalabad Civil Hospital for treatment, said the official, who had no information about the victims’ condition.
As usual, the Taliban asserted responsibility for the attack. The tribal elder was Nangarhar’s deputy governor, militant spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said.
