KABUL, the military alliance said on Friday.
Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) servicemembers died on Thursday following an improvised explosive device (IED) strike in the south.
A statement from the multinational force said a third soldier was killed in an insurgent attack in the east. In line with its policy, ISAF neither disclosed the fallen soldiers’ nationalities nor the exact locations of the attacks.
Mostly American, Canadian and British soldiers are battling the insurgents in southern Afghanistan. Only US soldiers are stationed in east.
Since the beginning of 2011, 150 foreign soldiers have been killed in different parts of Afghanistan, where the NTO-led force lost 711 troops in 2010. The deaths raise the total number of casualties for foreign troops in April to 48.
