Man struck by lightning in Daikundi

NEILI (PAN): A 35-year-old man died after being struck by lightning in the central province of Daikundi, officials said on Monday.

The freak incident took place in the Shikarabad village of Sharistan district on Sunday night, administrative head of the town, Rustam Ali Panahi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The victim’s body was released to his relatives, said a doctor at the civil hospital, Zamin Ali. Last year, a child was injured in a similar incident in Eshtarli district.
