ZARANJ (PAN): Five people have been killed and six others injured in two separate road accident in the southwestern province of Nimroz, officials said on Saturday.
The first accident took place in Ali Nimroz area on the Zaranj-Delaram highway on Friday evening when a car crashed into a truck, police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Jabar Purdali, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Three people, including a woman and a child, were killed and as many others sustained injuries in the mishap, he said.
Separately, a car flipped over near the intersection of Chakhan Soor on Saturday morning, killing two people and injuring three others, said Purdali, who blamed the incident on carelessness by the driver.
The injured were taken to the Zaranj civil hospital, where doctors said they were in a stable condition.
