MAZAR-I-SHARIF (PAN) said on Monday.
The operation on Sunday night was carried out in Qisar district, the Norwegian PRT office in Miamana, the provincial capital, said in a statement.
Twenty-five insurgents were killed during the offensive, it said, adding several others were injured and captured alive.
The district chief, Mohammad Sadiq, said the operation was conducted in Qoshghar area, where militants had been active since long. He accused insurgents of forcibly receiving usher, zakat and food from residents. He confirmed 25 militants were killed and four others were captured alive.
There was no word from the Taliban about the operation.
