JALALABAD (PAN): Nine civilians were wounded when an explosives-rigged bicycle exploded in the capital city of eastern Nangarhar province on Friday, an official said.
The remote-controlled blast happened while a police pick-up was passing by in the old Kabul Bus Station area of Jalalabad, witness Farhad told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He had no information about casualties, but the provincial hospital head, Dr. Saif Rahman Ibrahimkhel, said they had received eight wounded people. One of them was discharged.
Nangarhar police chief, Brig. Gen. Ali Shah Paktiawal, confirmed the explosion but had no other details. No one has so far asserted responsibility for the bomb attack.
