SHARAN (PAN): Three suspected insurgents were killed by their own explosives in southeastern Paktika province, where a fourth militant died in a clash with police, officials said on Sunday.
The three suspected Taliban were killed when the roadside bomb they were planting in Sharan, the provincial capital, went off accidently, said the 203rd Thunder Military Corps spokesman, Major Haroon Yousafzai.
A fourth fighter was killed during a clash with police on the Sharan-Orgun highway, said Mukhlis Afghan, the governor’s spokesman. The dead militant was identified as Qari Eid Gul.
