5 killed in Peshawar bombing

ISLAMABAD (PAN‘s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday, officials said.

The blast took place at around 9:30am in front of a school in the Matani area on the outskirts of Peshawar, the provincial capital, police officer Samiullah told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The remote-controlled bomb, placed in a water channel in front of the private school, damaged two vehicles and nearby buildings, witness Abid Khan said.

Some of the injured were in critical condition, a doctor at the Lady Reading Hospital said, fearing the death toll could rise.
