KABUL): Fifteen civilians were killed and in a roadside bombing in the southern province of Kandahar on Saturday, officials said.
The explosion took place on in the Siah Sang area between Arghandab and Khakrez districts, Kandahar’s deputy police chief said.
Col. Sher Shah Yousafzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the dead included eight children, three men and four women. At least one woman was injured.
A statement from the interior ministry said the incident occurred at 10am when a civilian van struck the roadside bomb in Haji Lahore area of Arghandab.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
