KABUL Minister Ghulam Farooq Wardak laid the foundation stone of a new building for the Kabul Institute of Computer Science on Wednesday.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony, Wardak said the building was estimated to cost $1.2 million, to be provided by the United States.
The three-storey building would have 45 rooms, including administrative rooms and a conference hall, the minister added.
Currently, 1,300 students are studying at the institute. Wardak said the new building would have the capacity to house 2,600 students.
