HERAT CITY (PAN): One hundred and eighty-two policemen graduated from a training centre in western Herat province on Thursday, an official said.
The new graduates would be deployed to different parts of the country, Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, a spokesman for western police zone, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
During the four-month training, the cadets learned how to handle riots and combat crimes, he said.
One of the graduates, Mohammad Zahir, said he was eager to serve in police lines and was happy be able for the job
Herat has three police training centres from where more than 20,000 policemen have so far graduated over the past four years.
