4 ISAF supply tankers gutted in Landikotal

ISLAMABAD (PAN‘s restive tribal region of Khyber on Thursday, an official said.

Unidentified gunmen attacked an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) supply convoy in the Landikotal border town at 10am, a political administration official said.

As a result of the assault, one truck caught fire that spread to three others, Azim Gul Shinwari told Pajhwok Afghan News. The tankers were completely gutted, he said.

Resident Abid Afridi said the assailants, who were riding on a motorbike, managed to escape after the attack. The truckers were taking tea in a roadside hotel when the incident occurred.
