15 dead in Herat accident

HERAT CITY (PAN and children, were killed when a truck skidded off a road and overturned in western Herat province, officials said on Wednesday.

Another four people were injured in the accident, which occurred in Adarskin district on Tuesday night, police spokesman Col. Abdul Raud Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News. The truck was en route to Herat City from Farsi district.

District Chief Farhad Raufan told Pajhwok Afghan News that the driver had escaped the accident unharmed. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
