KABUL).
In this regard ACCI chief Qurban Ali Haqjo and IEC Chairman Fazal Ahmad Manawi signed a contract in Kabul on Tuesday. The elections for 21 ACCI provincial boards would take place in September and October months in all seven zones of the country, Haqjo said.
Around 400 people, including 21 ACCI provincial chapter heads, will be elected. All individuals having business licences could attend contest and cast votes in the elections, he added.
Manawi expressed pleasure over IEC involvement, saying it would help ensure transparency in the polls. The commission would provide essential materials, including ballot boxes and card-punching machines, he added.
