PUL-I-ALAM (PAN in central Logar province, officials said on Sunday.
Members of the Afghan National Army (ANA) arrested them late Saturday night while patrolling in the Padkhwab-i-Roghani area of the Braki Brak district, Din Mohammad Darwesh, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the suspects had travelled from Pakistan to assist the Taliban.
But district chief Mohammad Rahim Amin said the investigation had not yet been completed and emphasized that those detained were suspects.
Amin said some of them had claimed that they came to Afghanistan to preach Islam.
