KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): A child was killed and nine others, including two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers, were injured in a blast in southern Kandahar province, officials said on Wednesday.
The blast targeted an Afghan National Army (ANA) vehicle in the 9th police district, Gen. Abdul Razaq, the acting provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The vehicle heading down the road when a remote-controlled bomb planted in a ditch exploded, he said.
An official at Mirwais Civil Hospital said two ANA soldiers and seven civilians were brought to the hospital, adding that the injured were in stable condition.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
